I
f ever I should find myself accused of a crime I did not commit (heaven forbid) I should want to hire Nicholas '
Deke
' Deketomis to defend me. Florida attorney Deke is the protagonist in Mike Papantonio's wonderful book,
Law and Disorder
.
T
his work is a must-read. It's not only extremely well-written, but full of matters that afflict the world today. The author shares his feelings on modern problems, while entertaining his readers with several cleverly interwoven plots. Keep in mind that once the first page is read, this novel is very hard to put down. You've been warned!
D
eke is a '
tough-minded trial lawyer with a history of making large corporations pay for their bullying tactics.
' He'll take on almost anyone whom he believes is not being honest or fair in their financial dealings, especially in politics. Now, while preparing to butt heads with the owners of an oil company he is to be put on trial himself.
M
ike Papantonio more or less writes of himself while dealing with Deke's life. He has a nationally syndicated radio show,
Ring of Fire
, in which he and his co-hosts Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Sam Seder preside. Papantonio has a string of awards that would take too long to list. He is a well-rounded man who believes in people's rights.
