arden Campbell has a roommate whom he feels is just not right. His views on the world do not match most other peoples'. Harden finds out just how off the wall Coyote is when he awakens to find himself on a dirt floor, cold and savagely beaten.

bout the only other thing in this freezing cell other than a prowling spider, is an old typewriter and a stack of blank paper with just the words '
tell me a story
' written on the top sheet. Knowing that his current living conditions are the result of Coyote's sociopathic condition, Harden realizes he must follow orders or he will die in this horrible cell.

ince Harden is a writer, he writes a story, about a chapter every twenty-four hours. These pages are collected when food is brought to him. His main worry is about the woman he dearly loves – will he ever see her again? Or is she too imprisoned?
