anger Woman
by Frederick Ramsey is the third in his
Botswana
mystery series. In this suspenseful novel, he writes of the illegal poaching of endangered animals and efforts by the Botswana government to stop the poachers' cruel actions. Elephants are killed only for their ivory tusks; rhinoceros for their horns; lovely plumed birds for their valuable feathers, etc..
H
owever, another predator is the hyena. A Chobe Game Park pack is led by the alpha female, who is especially fearless. While on patrol, a human skull is found which, of course, has to be reported to District Superintendent Sanderson. She holds the Russian Bratva responsible. It is believed that the Russian Mafiosi led by Oleg Lenka, plan to take over the highly profitable tourist trade.
H
owever, American billionaire Leo Painter plans to run the casino/hotel business himself. Kgabo Modise, a member of the Botswana Police Service, is brought onto the scene by Sanderson. Incidentally, he is her lover. The author has covered every possible base to create a story that will hold your attention from first page to the last.
A
t times, the roaming coyote pack is more-or-less likened to the human baddies. Which only heightens the story line. A good book for a summer read.
