by B. A. Paris, you will suspect that you know a couple or two just like Gracie and Jack. I knew one. Horrifying.

ack charmed Gracie until she thought they would have a perfect marriage. She learned on her honeymoon that this was not to be. Her life turned on a dime – or on wedding vows – and nothing was as she had dreamed married life would be.
H
er every move, her every breath, was monitored by her new husband. As the story progressed, I had to think back and realized how fortunate I was to have had a good man in my life. It must take a very sick person to subject another human being to such treatment. In retrospect, life probably would have been easier if Gracie had been imprisoned.
I
t's hard to realize that such psychopaths exist. I know this tale is fiction. But the premise is real. One of my granddaughters was headed in this direction while in college. Fortunately she woke up in time and moved on. Her life could have gone the way Gracie's did. Be warned. This is not a story of a happy life. Read
