Here's another Inspector Banks mystery – may this author ever stop writing. Innocent Graves is another of Robinson's intriguing and suspenseful stories starring Chief Inspector Alan Banks.

Banks is feeling put upon as he is handed another horrifying murder to solve – just what he left London to avoid dealing with again. As he has just learned, plans often don't work out. A teenager from a wealthy and influential family is found murdered in a graveyard.

Banks enters a world of lies and secrets that he must deal with to prevent another similar murder. He must contend with angry, grieving parents who don't believe he is capable of bringing the murderer of their daughter to justice. He and his unit interview everyone even remotely connected to the girl only to realize they can't get honest answers from anyone.

I did figure out the culprit's identity. That doesn't mean that I could have produced such wonderful writing as Robinson does. His books are chock full of depictions of scenes done to such a fine point that readers can easily place themselves right alongside Banks as he works. This is another coup for Robinson.
