It is nearly twenty years since Tessa Cartwright was found barely alive in a field of black-eyed Susans. The Texas woman, who remembered little of what had happened, managed to survive the vicious attack of a serial killer. Since then she has tried to forget the horrific experience and move forward with her life.

Imagine her confusion and then fear when the single mother and artist awakens one morning only to find a freshly planted patch of black-eyed Susans outside her bedroom window. With her purported attacker in prison awaiting execution, this doesn't make sense. Either someone has a macabre sense of humor or the wrong man is sitting on Death Row.

Seeking help, Tessa turns to the legal team trying to save the accused man and, as the clock ticks, she tries to remember exactly what did happen on the eventful night so many years ago. Advised to undergo hypnosis to unlock the memory of that traumatic time, Tessa is about to retrieve memories that will challenge her sanity and place herself and her daughter in danger.

If you enjoy psychological suspense stories, this one is not only a real page turner but its impact will also linger long after you have finished the novel. So if you feel up to it join Tessa in the sinister world of the black-eyed Susans!
