f you are a history buff, this book will give you an overview as to how the English, with their stiff upper lips, survived a horrendous period of years. I have a friend who was a child at the time and remembers the Blitz and the devastation of a proud city.

r. Churchill's Secretary
by Susan Elia MacNeal is a debut novel. It's a very good book; however the bit with Maggie's father was stretching things a little. I was a child at that time and remember a lot of what happened then. I truly enjoyed this book and look for more from this author.
