K
it Finn is on vacation in the Florida Keys when, on her last night there, she meets a man. Stepping out of her box to do something risky, she flirts with him. She ends up spending the night with him, with promises to allow him to cook dinner for her back in New York City where she is a successful interior decorator. His name is Matt Healy.
S
he arrives at his apartment where a different man (who also claims to be Matt Healy) answers the door! Events become more and more bizarre when she finds a body on the staircase in her own apartment building! One wearing her very own trench coat. Kit is sure she is being followed and becomes almost paranoid because she has no idea why anyone would do this. The police are no help. She moves in with her business partner Baby while police work to discover why she is being tailed.

he Wrong Man
begins with a bang that promises a great read. Unfortunately, when I reached around the middle of the book, I almost felt that someone else was doing the writing. It lost the urgency of Kit's problems. However, that said, I didn't realize until the ending, just what was causing Kit's problems.
A
uthor Kate White is a prodigious writer with many successful books to her credit. And I have enjoyed them. So it was disappointing to have this happen. However, the plot is a good one as are the lovable characters. I truly enjoyed the workings of an interior designer's studio. In fact, I picked up a few tips that I will consider adopting.
