uthor Margaret Grace has provided seven mysteries for our enjoyment - and I can definitely attest to this – featuring Gerry Porter and her eleven year-old granddaughter Maddie. Grace has just added another,
Manhattan in Miniature
, to her ever growing list.

erry and Maddie are invited to attend a huge crafts fair in Manhattan by the manager of a SuperKrafts store in their hometown of Lincoln Point. Being active and enthusiastic miniaturists, they readily accept and are ready to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas in New York. They decide to take in all the sights they have time for while not helping the SuperKrafts manager at the craft show. They did not anticipate that a very close friend of Gerry's who lives there would lose her Aunt Elsie at this particular time and need her close friend Gerry to give her support through a trying time. The Aunt's death is suspicious.

nd, so, as readers of such a delightful series, we are treated to the wonders of a New York Christmas, mostly through the eyes of a young girl, and the fun of a crafts fair – one where the attendees are being ripped off by what is thought to be a roving band of thieves. All the time trying to fit in time to commiserate with a woman who lost her very dear aunt. A woman who is familiar with Gerry's sleuthing for the police back in Lincoln Point.
M
anhattan in Miniature
is another delightful adventure for both Gerry and Maddie. Let's hope for many more.
