I Jeri Howard is desperately searching for her missing brother. She was sure that his life was on an even keel and that he had no reason to disappear. But she learns that there is a kink in his very happy marriage.
nfortunately the bodies on a boat might add murder charges to her brother's other problems. Two police detectives are pretty sure he is responsible for the killings as well as for some other highly illegal shenanigans that the detectives had worked undercover to bring to light.
s Jeri investigates, she learns of parts of her brother's life that she would rather not know about. But he is her brother and she loves him, and also has a sense of family duty driving her to help him out when he needs it. But when she finds him, he is going to get a piece of her mind.
by Janet Dawson is as good a read as her eleven other Jeri Howard novels. She has won St. Martin's Press best first PI novel, as well as a Shamus, Macavity and Anthony nominations. What's not to like?
