Posadas County Undersheriff Estelle Reyes-Guzman is very proud of her fifteen year-old son Francisco, who is a renowned concert pianist! He is in Mazatlan, Mexico for a series of concerts. This is a crime-ridden part of Mexico and Estelle is worried that her son might be a target for scam artists or kidnappers.

With this worry on her mind, she is contacted by a man who claims to be her uncle. Estelle had been adopted by a woman who is now in her nineties. She had often tried to discover her birth family but the woman she considers her mother won't tell her anything.

Also involved in this tense mystery is a wealthy rancher who is determined to build a multimillion dollar theme park. Sheriff Bobby Torrez, just when he could be the most helpful, takes a serious spill in his own garage and is confined to a hospital bed. His far-flung family members bring their own troubles with them when they arrive to sort out who will stay and care for dear, old, grumpy Dad.

Will Francisco arrive back home safe and sound? Will the theme park be built? Will the Sheriff heal? Read Blood Sweep for the answers to this intriguing and suspenseful mystery.
