Tai Randolph has been working hard to get her almost-successful gun shop in Atlanta into shape for a reopening of the business she inherited from her Uncle Dexter. The shop caters mostly to Civil War re-enactors. Her security obsessed lover Trey Seaver has her property protected from every angle possible using all the modern technology available to him and his security company. Her next door neighbor wants the space of Tai's shop for herself and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. This woman gets what was coming to her though maybe a little too harshly.

A tornado blows through the Kennesaw Mountain cemetery and the skeleton of a Confederate war hero is unearthed by the vicious winds. The hero's bones are scattered over the cemetery. Turns out the bones are not of Civil War vintage but from more recent times. They reveal a murder. Who could it be? And why are the descendents of the Amberdecker family so anxious to claim the bones? The matriarch of that family threatens Tai with a shotgun, demanding the bones be turned over to her.

I have enjoyed the previous three novels in this series by Tina Whittle and found the fourth to be just as exciting and suspenseful as the first three. A bit of a twist with Trey is intriguing. A horrific automobile accident jumbled his brain three years previously. Tai's dedication to his well-being is stirring. Ain't love grand? The final scene will have you on the edge of your seat. But we must have Tai survive to tell more of her tales.
