is a good read for any Broadway or Opera aficionado who wants to hear more about many of the big names during the latter half of the 20th century. Sometimes it feels like Burlingame has a tendency to name-drop, but his writing shows that he truly is a contemporary – and often a friend – of these stars and wunderkinds. What fascinated me the most was the little bits of
lunacy
that he incorporated, although these were never long enough.

is a great introduction for anyone pursuing a similar career.
