Nancy Drew continues on in her amateur sleuthing in another fast paced, action thriller. Nancy, along with friends George and Bess, spends a weekend in the hamlet of Avondale. But their weekend turns out to be far from the relaxing retreat the girls had planned.

Excited by the scheduled book signing of the reclusive Lacey O'Brien, the girls are shocked when the bookstore burns down right before the signing. Overhearing a few local girls commenting about the fire, Nancy is soon in gear trying to solve another mystery. Who would want to burn down the bookstore and why?

Nancy and her friends soon find themselves part of the mystery when their boat capsizes on the lake during a storm and then art is stolen from a local gallery. But how is this all connected? Interestingly, the mysteries occurring in town and to Nancy and her friends are all plots of various books by Lacey O'Brien.

Readers between the ages of eight and twelve will enjoy reading about the adventures of Nancy Drew and the many predicaments she finds herself in. Along with Nancy, readers can practice their own sleuthing skills as they try to solve the mystery. Pick up this book and read on because 'There just might be more clues to what's next.'
