igi loves Pia – at a distance! But, wanting to be a good sister, she welcomes Pia along with her slovenly lifestyle. And Pia quickly falls head over heels for local tavern owner Declan McQuaid. Someone that Gigi had her eye on. However Gigi has a fall-back beau in Detective Mertz.
J
ealousy reigns in Gigi's house when Declan asks Gigi to prep for an engagement party. Things get very dicey when the host of this big shindig is found dead – by Gigi – with an ice pick in his head. Declan is the first and only suspect until Gigi does some digging into the background of the corpse and those around him.
A

has a clever plot and an added bonus of recipes for some lovely dishes.
