by J. A. Jance, the new thriller in her Ali Reynolds series, is Jance's 50th book and marks her 30th year as a published author! She has over 22 million books in print! I bow to a distinguished career. Congratulations, Ms. Jance. And thank you for many hours of enjoyable reading.

oving Target
moves back and forth between a facility near Austin, Texas, and Bournemouth, England where Ali's friend Leland and she are visiting Leland's estranged family. Leland had been ostracized by them many years before and isn't sure he will be welcomed back into the fold.
L
eland and Ali stumble on a possible murder, unsolved since 1950. Meanwhile in Austin, an incarcerated young man, Lance, is set on fire and seriously injured. Ali's fiancé B., founder of a high-tech security company, helped by his testimony put Lance in the institution where he was being held. B. never felt right about the verdict and the overlong sentence handed down to the young man. B. steps in to right what he believes to be a wrong.
T
he plot, at this point, jumps back and forth from Austin to Bournemouth and back again with never a fault in the transitions. Much to my delight, Sister Anselm makes her appearance once again. The good sister is a positive influence but will brook no nonsense. True to her convictions, she will accept others' thoughts and beliefs, though in no way changing her own.
A
lthough on different sides of the Atlantic, Ali and B. manage to solve two murders and make everything right again.
M
oving Target
has a wonderful plot and truly wonderful suspense. Jance caught my interest from the first page on. How does she manage to always top the last book she wrote? I met her once at a book signing and was very impressed with her as a person as well as a very successful writer.
