One day Dana Carlson's cell phone rings and it's Peyton, the niece she's never met. Peyton delivers the devastating news that her mother, Dana's sister Julie, is very ill and Dana might be able to help. But that would mean returning to the town she grew up in, the town she left to get away from all the memories that once plagued her.

Begrudingly, Dana returns to the town she once called home. But she is too late. Julie has already passed away and even worse, Julie believed that something caused her illness and that it is making others in the town of Black Bear, Minnesota, ill as well. Her work trying to solve the matter, a list of names, is the only clue left.

Dana wants to continue her sister's work and figure out why Julie died. But the secret that kept her from Julie also kept her from Julie's husband and Peyton, and they resent Dana for being absent from their lives. But they have no idea what secret Dana and Julie shared, and how deeply they are all affected by it.

Aside from dealing with her sister's death, the ghosts from her past and the mystery of what made Julie ill, Dana also has another challenge to contend with. Her job in building demolition has left an unidentified woman dead, killed in the last building demolition that Dana did and Dana may be at fault.

Author Carla Buckley has woven an intriguing tale, part mystery, part drama, and a one hundred percent riveting page turner. Each chapter captures the reader's attention, told from the perspective of Julie, Dana, or Peyton. I ended up staying up all night, pulled in by this intoxicating story.
