I repeat enjoyed. Have read them all and am sorry for that. Now I must wait for the sixth. A legendary nightclub owner has been found murdered, both he and his dog. The local police put the murder down as a robbery gone bad. Chief Inspector Kaldis, head of Greece's special crimes division, begs to differ. Kaldis is sure this crime was not a robbery, even though it was made to look like one. He believes that the precarious financial situation that Greece is in at the moment leaves room for a movement of certain factions who are trying to take control of Greece. Foreign factors are looking to make Mykonos the Las Vegas of the East. And, in so doing, make many men behind this venture rich beyond their dreams. Kaldis is determined not to let this happen. It takes a man like him to wrest control of Mykonos from greedy hands. In writing this book, Siger bemoans the situation that Greece is in. His take on Mykonos in particular reads more like a politician, an honest one, trying to make the Mykonians understand the hazards they face and that they must work together to save their island paradise. Mykonos After Midnight is a good read that also offers us a better understanding of Greece's woes.
