al Claxton has given up his life as a hard-boiled L.A. prosecutor to move to an old farmhouse overlooking Oregon wine country. The motivation? His wife's suicide! He occasionally takes a small-town case. He wasn't looking for Picasso to show up on his doorstep asking him to solve his mother's murder eight years before.

icasso, of course, isn't the internationally known artist. He's a down-on-his-luck kid with an astonishing talent. He gets by painting murals. A street kid! Go figure. Anna, a doctor at a health clinic in Old Town Portland, commissioned him to do a wall in that facility. Before the mural can be completed, Picasso is accused of murdering a major business figure.

Matters of Doubt
by Warren C. Easley to discover what really happened. This is one book you will not want to put down. Wonderfully written. Lots of twists and turns that lead to the conclusion. This is the first of the Cal Claxton Oregon Mysteries. I look forward to the next one and the one after that. I like Picasso and Cal. So will you. They're a good match.
