Libby Morgan knows she is going to make partner in her law firm. Libby has put in enough hours to make heads spin and her social life is nonexistent. Prepared and ready, that is Libby to a tee. But when she walks into the meeting to accept the position and comes out laid off instead, her world spins on its axis. The only parting advice her boss has to offer is to enjoy life.

Libby heads home and finds herself on Blossom Street in front of a small shop called The Good Yarn. Libby proposes to take up knitting again since she has excess time on her hands. But what she finds are new friends and many things she has missed since joining the law firm. She discovers that there is more to life than she realized and that being laid off was perhaps not the worst of fates.

What a lovely book, an eye opener for many people who work their whole lives through, missing other possibilities. In fact after reading it, I took a look at my own life and concluded not too shabby. Debbie Macomber strikes the heart strings with a sweet precision that makes you want more. I enjoyed all the characters, the dialogue and the plot immensely.
