mystery series. In it, Donut Hearts owner Suzanne Hart and her best buddy Grace sleuth together once more in April Springs, North Carolina.
T
his time a good friend of Suzanne's (blacksmith James Settle) is stabbed to death just outside her shop. An argument they had had just two hours before points the finger of suspicion briefly at Suzanne. When the daring donut duo dig deep, they soon find that their friend had hidden depths - he was a member of the uber wealthy Pinerush family and heir to a fortune. When he tried to give it all away, his family had him committed for psychiatric evaluation.

s always, suspects abound - from James' obnoxious cousin Forrest to the ex-girlfriend he rejected and the blacksmith's assistant who's been given a hard time. Suzanne and Grace interview every contender relentlessly. They end up confronting a killer and winning justice for their deceased friend.
