he life of a travel writer is often thought to be a glamorous and exciting job, journeying to various destinations in the world and living the grand life. Travel writer Lily Moore would beg to differ.
gainst her better judgment, she accepted an assignment in Acapulco, Mexico, hoping for sand and sun and margaritas. Too much in her personal life needed tending to. Maybe this trip would take her mind off her troubles.
he hotel she's taken to proves to be vacant except for the travel writers on the same trip. They are told that Acapulco, once the playground of Hollywood stars, is now a crime-ridden city and it's not safe to go out at night. When one of them – Skye McDermont, an old friend and fellow travel writer – disappears, Lily raises an alarm. But no one in authority seems anxious to take the disappearance seriously.
he plot takes off from there. As readers, we are treated to several murders, shady characters whose loyalties are suspect, unrequited love, and a main character whom we all can appreciate as we feel cause for concern for her safety.
