Serial killer Ted Bundy is long gone but the horrid memory of his headline grabbing atrocities lives on. In this thriller Gregg Olsen portrays some women who are haunted by Bundy's memory. First there's Tacoma police officer Grace Alexander who has lived for years, as has her mother, with the thought that her older sister (who disappeared years ago) was one of the serial killers unidentified victims.

Then there is another woman, a deranged groupie, who corresponded with the killer while he was in prison and purportedly raised her son to follow in the mad man's footsteps. It sounds preposterous, perhaps, but now a series of killings make Alexander believe that the unthinkable is happening again because a serial killer with Bundy's M.O. has struck again.

Dredging up emotions and fears that are better left untouched, this situation raises a number of questions and creates a predicament where the police officer and her family will have to confront and lay to rest some of the demons that have haunted them for years. The question is what price is Alexander willing to pay to do this?

A master of psychological thrillers, Olsen pulls out all the stops in this latest novel. Most readers who have already finished it agree the author succeeded far beyond his wildest expectations. Fear Collector will have you testing the locks and making sure the windows are tightly closed as you plow through this chilling story.
