Emily hasn't been home for almost ten years after leaving to become an interior designer. Success meant a lot to her - Emily had to prove herself to the family especially to her two sisters. But it came with a cost, as it meant leaving the only one she ever loved behind. Boone Dorsett, now a widower and the father of a young boy, sees the opportunity to get back the love of his life. Emily left him and shattered his heart in a million little pieces. Now she is back. Here is his chance to win her once more. But his former in-laws threaten him with a custody suit if chooses to reconnect with Emily. Will love win out in the end or will fate take them on separate roads once again? This is a very enjoyable read to whittle an afternoon away or enjoy on a dark and gloomy day. It will make you smile, sigh and hope that everything turns out for these two lovers. You will fall for all the characters because they blend so well together. Also the story gives a wee bit of a hint of what the next Ocean Breeze novel will be about and I know Sherryl Woods will not disappoint us.
