cDonald is right. This particular work is not for the average reader. But should you just happen to trip over a copy, be prepared to be shocked while you are laughing out loud. Fun book.
M
cDonald is a writer and performer for Chelsea Lately, as well as being a stand-up comedian, actress, story producer and best-selling author. In this book, she tells of her life as a working mother of three. Many of us know how harrowing it can be. But she tells it like it is with descriptions of some of her off the wall experiences. Most of them, seen from an outsider's viewpoint, merely seem outrageous. With McDonald's perspective, these happenings take on hilarious connotations.

or instance: Strapping a toddler-sized stuffed monkey wearing her little son's clothes to a backseat car seat so she can zoom along the highway in the carpool lane. Or the outrageous postings her office mates place on her Facebook page. Then there's the time she took her kids to a Rehab celebration at an infamous pool party. Her wrangling to get her kids into a Catholic School is well worth a read. Or her attempt to procure a Vera Wang dress! Her misadventures permeate her book.

f you tend to be on the prudish side, give this one a miss. Buy if I've whetted your curiosity, go for it.
