W
e're all familiar with James Patterson books. They grab you from the first page and don't let go until the last page is finished, leaving you with a desire for more. Fortunately for fans, the man has a compulsion to write and we are the happy recipients of its results.
W
hether Patterson writes with a co-writer or without, we can always be sure of a good read.
10th Anniversary
is a good example of this. If you've followed this series, you have already met Detective Lindsay Boxer. If not, you'll enjoy meeting her. Boxer has to leave her own wedding celebration to investigate a brutal attack on a teenage girl, whose newborn child has disappeared.
B
oxer is a member of the Women's Murder Club, as is Assistant District Attorney Yuki Castellano. She is prosecuting a woman accused of shooting her husband to death. The case is not shaping up well and Castellano really needs a win on her record.
S
uspense builds as the pages are turned. Boxer finds evidence to prove the woman innocent. Now Castellano has a dilemma. Nothing is ever easy. The newborn has not been found and Boxer feels she is not getting the whole story.
10th Anniversary
is another winner for Patterson and his co-writer Maxine Paetro.
