Lynn Morrow is separated from her husband Ed and lately Ed has not been living up to his end of the bargain. Lynn is struggling to make ends meet and her job at the boutique is only part time. With hardly any money coming in she is having a hard time putting food on the table for her two children. Her soon to be ex husband seems to be sincere when he offers her reasons for the late payments and tries to make things right. But something is obviously is wrong and Ed seems to be struggling with a secret, which makes support payments almost non existent.

Mitch Franklin is a contractor currently working on an addition on Lynn's neighbour's house and has noticed there is something bothering Lynn. His being attracted to Lynn makes him wants to help her in any way he can. Mitch has been a grieving widower with two grown sons and he feels he could use woman in his life, especially if it were Lynn. Knowing that she has pride and not wanting to step on that, Mitch vows to help support her. With the growing attraction between them and Lynn needing to find her own way, Mitch slowly fans the flame that is building, hoping that one day she will be his.

I have always loved a good romance especially when the world seems bleak and unyielding. This is exactly what I found here - two people struggling with the upheavals of life and finding a connection on which to build a long lasting love. The book will bring your emotions up to the surface and make you say 'ahhh that's what I like'. I have been a fan of Sherryl Woods for many years and so far she has never disappointed me.
