orelie McAlister lives with her grandparents and goes to school in a small town. Her parents vanished ten years ago without a trace and she has always wondered about their fate. Lorelie has two best friends and only they know that she has visions of what is to come when she touches someone. It doesn't happen every time but can be very intense.
L
ately Lorelie has noticed that Cameron Lusk appears to be stalking her. Everywhere she goes he seems to be in the shadows watching, almost like he is waiting for something. In fact when the new guy shows up at school, Cameron takes an instant dislike to him and stalks even more. Lorelie is totally bewildered by this behaviour and decides to befriend the new guy. Not only is he drop dead gorgeous, but there is a connection between them that shakes her to her very core.

orelie realizes that she is the very reason these two boys hate each other and that something deeper is going on. Maybe this new guy, Jared, can answer some of her questions about her parents, since he knows more than he is letting on. All Lorelie really understands is that her very existence and her whole concept of life is about to change.

hough the story jumped around, leaving me confused here and there,
Death and the Girl Next Door
is an interesting tale that wraps up love and action into a neat little bundle. Darynda Jones certainly has a talent for the paranormal and the bizarre.
