Michele Windsor spots someone she knows in school one day. In fact she can hardly believe her eyes; it's Philip Walker, her long lost love. Here he is in the present and she cannot wait to reconnect with him. After all these years, he kept his promise to find a way back to her. But Michele is confused and lost when she approaches him because he has no recollection of her or of the Philip Walker of 1910. Michele needs to find a way to make him remember but is at a total loss on how to make that happen. Heartbroken, she jumps back to the past for clues.

Still sad, Michelle starts to read her father's journals (she stumbled upon them in a hidden passage of the mansion). Not only does she have something of her father's now but also an inside look at the Time Society. Michele realizes that there is a vendetta against her by her long lost ancestor and needs to find a solution fast. Time is of the essence. With possible help from the Time Society she might be able to win and put this revenge to rest. If not she will be erased by time and lose her love as if it never existed.

It's funny when you write a review and are always searching for new words to sum it all up and the best you can come up with is classic. Classic is what this story is, with a touch of romance. The book is unique for a time travelling piece and I totally enjoyed it. I loved how the characters were young yet old and even appreciated the evilness of the ancestor. Though Timekeeper is part of a series, it can be read on its own because that is what I did and I did not feel lost at all.
