hristmas in Parkland, North Carolina might not be the pleasant visit from his mother that PI David Randall hoped it could be. He knows his mother will try to make him face the death of his daughter Lindsey head on. He can't handle that. Not now. Not ever!

andall has a psychic friend Camden who is being haunted by flashbacks of a murder. Lo and behold, the two find Camden's friend stabbed to death. The story of Camden's questionable psychic gift and how he and Randall solve the murder is a really fun one, discounting the death.
M
ama and Randall's girlfriend Kary bond immediately and have a blast together. Mama is no longer the homebody Randall remembers – leopard patterned lingerie and a boyfriend who is not a whit like dear old deceased Dad.
T
o top off the merriment, a group has formed to protect the city of Parkland. They consider themselves superheroes and pledge to help the police fight crime. At best, staying out of the way of the police in pursuit of a lawbreaker would be considered an improvement. And their costumes!

ll in all, it's a really fun book.

is the second of the
Grace Street
Series. Author Jane Tesh also has three Maddy Maclin mysteries for you to enjoy. Well worth a read.
