Cliff Walk - by Bruce DeSilva, author of Rogue Island - is another winner. In Providence, Rhode Island, Liam Mulligan, who works as a reporter for the town's dying newspaper, is drawn into an investigation deemed unpopular by the town fathers.

Prostitution is legal in the state and it begins to look as though the state governor has been accepting monies to keep it so. As if this weren't enough, a child's severed arm has been found in garbage collected by the local pig farmer to feed his brood. Another child disappears, and it seems that child porn is on the rise.

Liam investigates, aided by individuals he has helped in one way or another over the years. No one seems to like the porn situation except those who are profiting by it. Liam may be in over his head. But our hero perseveres, much to the distress of the boss of the local crime mob.

Author DeSilva makes the town of Providence come alive. I almost felt like a citizen as I read this thrilling story. Cliff Walk is a good beach book, and that season fast approaches.
