ere is the most lively, most entertaining, most thoroughly mesmerizing history of the UFO movement you're ever likely to find. James Moseley joined the movement on the ground floor -- in the early fifties, not long after the alleged crash-landing at Roswell, when nearly everybody was seeing strange lights in the sky. Moseley, looking to make a name for himself, drove cross-country, interviewing scores of UFO witnesses and self-proclaimed experts; caught up in the excitement, he became one of ufology's most outspoken proponents.
O
ver the years, Moseley met most of the movement's famous names, believers and skeptics alike, and was privy to many of the true stories behind well-known incidents and hoaxes. Here, he and co-author Pflock (a noted investigator of UFO incidents) lay it all out for us: the personalities, the rivalries, the truth and lies. This isn't a book about UFOs; it doesn't matter whether or not you believe in them. This is a book about the people who devote their lives to them, about the movement itself in all its wacky, wonderful glory. Hugely enjoyable.
