Quinn Caldwell is a Goddess. Her conduit for power is the moon and she is strongest when the moon is full. When she uses her power, depleting it, she needs sex to replenish it, and that need is great. Sam (her assistant at the bar she runs) helps in that area. But lately she has been feeling it isn't right and keeps Sam at arm's length - which has been very difficult for her.

Then Quinn receives a mysterious e-mail stating that her protector, Nick Jarrett, has gone rogue. Nick claims this is untrue and also tells her that there is a leech (with the ability to drain a goddess of her powers) on the loose. Quinn seeks information from the Society for Goddess Education and Defense but they seem to be giving her the runaround. So Sam, Nick and Quinn decide to look into matters on their own.

Nick believes the leech has targeted Quinn next and the outcome won't be good. A leech is a male who has power given to him by a Goddess. The leech drains Goddesses' powers and has already rendered several helpless. Quinn is finding it hard to be with Sam and Nick, due to trying to keep Sam just a friend and wanting to be more than friends with Nick. After some mishaps, threats and life endangerment, the trio become very close knit.

What a good book, hard to put down, if you put it down. An excellent combination of characters keeps things tense all the way through. The trio's banter is witty and quite comical at times, and the author keeps throwing curve balls to spice things up. I'm looking forward to the next episode!
