Dr. Rebeka Tyler has received a strange letter in the mail, about an inheritance from a woman she has never met. She is required to finish research on journals of family history at Fayne Manor.

On her first day getting aquainted with the library at Fayne Manor she decides to take a tour to ancient standing stones in the area. She is fascinated by the carvings and the stones. Standing in the middle of them, she is thrown into a vortex of some kind and finds herself falling down a mountain. What Rebeka doesn't know at this point is that she has been sent back in time to the year 1605.

Lord Arik of Fayne Manor is confounded by this strange woman standing in front of him, as it is his business to know everyone on his lands. She has a strange manner of speech and is very forward in her actions. Arik is also puzzled by the connection he feels with her. He is told that she is a scribe from London, sent on the King's orders to do research in the Fayne Manor library. He feels there is something more going on than meets the eye.

I totally enjoyed this time travel romance. I actually felt like I was Rebeka immersed in her adventure. I found this book well written, warmhearted and believable. I loved the use of runes, magic and ancient Druids as part of her plot. The romance was heartfelt and not overly mushy.
