Q
ueer: The Ultimate LGBT Guide for Teens
by Kathy Belge and Marke Bieschke is a wonderful compendium of advice for any lesbian, gay, bi, trans, or questioning teen – and also any straight teen, too.
W
hile it is geared toward queer teens, the majority of the social and relationship advice within can be helpful to anyone trying to navigate the rocky road that is adolescence, and will help a straight teen understand their queer peers better. Belge and Bieschke present everything in a straightforward, non-preachy, highly readable manner, and even include sidebars of their own, personal experiences which helps to make their advice real.
T
he back also includes a wonderful resource guide for queer teens looking for more information or where to go for help (this is also great for adults who work with or are parents of a queer teen).
