Lenora Stone's life isn't exactly a bed of roses. She has a boyfriend who just can't seem to get around to 'popping the big question', a condo that's OK but nothing to brag about, and a boss who is a total pain in the rear end.

The thirty-eight year old photographer for a publication called Baltimore Scene snaps the A-list folks but isn't part of their world. All that changes overnight when Lenora hits the jackpot in the Maryland lottery. Now she's got the cash, lots of it, and her dreams can be realized with just the flip of her checkbook!

Or so Lenora thinks. She quits her job, buys a BMW and a new, expensive house, and, surprise, surprise, her long time gentleman friend wants to now be her husband! Even Baltimore's posh ladies' club invites her to join. Imagine that!

But then everything gets complicated. When this lucky woman meets Ray, a sexy, young landscaper, a relationship develops far beyond his planting a lawn and adding some shrubs to her property.

What's she going to do? Good question, but this suddenly very rich lady is about to discover that good fortune and wealth are not always what they are cracked up to be. Perhaps lots of money can purchase fleeting happiness but not necessarily true love.

Connie Briscoe's first novel was a surprise hit and sold over 700,000 copies. She may have flown under the radar with her debut but since then this new writer has captured a lot of attention and readers. Her prose is very readable and her characters are quite likeable. What more can you ask of romantic fiction?
