Turns out philanthropist/art connoisseur Colfax Bradshaw is the extra body. Back up a bit. Boston's Isabella Gardner Museum had been robbed of $500 million in fine art which was never recovered. Not one piece. Could Bradshaw be implicated in that theft? Can't ask him. He's dead. Bradshaw's widow and daughter seek legal advice. Here's where new lawyer Cynthia Jakubec arrives on the scene. And what a delight she is. Ambitious, she's waiting for a slot in a prestigious New York law firm. She's intelligent, considered a first rate lawyer, and is interning at the moment while she waits for the slot. Has a delicious sense of humor that won't quit. Is in love with a fledging novelist. Both hoping to make the New York scene. What could go wrong? Oh, boy. That's the plot for what I hope will be a new series starring Cindy Jakubec. But Remember Their Names is a really fun book with enough intrigue to satisfy any mystery fan. And we also get a bit of info about the machinations behind Wall Street. In case you are wondering about the title, it's from a Robert F. Kennedy quote – 'Forgive your enemies - but remember their names.' Good advice which Cindy takes. I'm assuming the author takes this advice also in her work as a New York attorney (she writes under a pen name).
