t's 1964. Part-time Constable/part-time farmer Ned Parker joins with John Washington, the legendary black deputy Sheriff from nearby Paris to track down a disturbed person who is a threat to the small community of Center Springs, Texas.

his person of interest has been catching, torturing, and partially skinning still living animals, leaving them to be found as though he is proud of his work.
T
here are intimations that this fiend will move on to children next. Parker feels this is more than he can handle and calls in the FBI. He also feels this is someone who has a grudge against him and is trying to get revenge by next attacking Parker's family.

he Rock Hole
unfortunately reminds us that are some truly evil people in the world. But, Parker feels that when the evil hits so close to home, it's more than he can stomach.

he action moves right along and keeps the pace at a thrilling level. The various characters would be a delight if the subject were not so dire. The next to last scene is a prize.
The Rock Hole
is a good book that just can't be taken lightly. Fine writing.
