He has his reasons, protection of the one he loves. Then Alfonso finds out Lily - the sexy Guardian agent he fell in love with over nine years ago - is in town. He realizes that he still wants her just as much as he did before; a dangerous temptation. Lily DeGraff works for the agency. She swore an oath to protect humans and put the Darkbloods away. She is known as a tracker, who uses her senses to find her prey. She is one of the best in her field and her talent for finding sweetblood, a rare blood type, makes her a wanted commodity. The enemy knows this and wants to capture her, to use her. Lily's only help is a man from her past, a lover, the one who tore her heart to pieces when he left. She swears he will not get in her heart again. Lily and Alfonso have a pull between them, and no matter how hard either of them tries to ignore it, their attraction will not be denied. Together the hunger grows greater and so does the danger from the assassin following Alfonso. I have to say I really enjoyed this book, which is action packed right to the end. The tale twists and turns all the way through with a bit of spicy hot thrown in. The love story between the two main characters brings your emotions to the surface all the way. It's a story that you never want to end. I'm looking forward to more Sweetblood novels in the future.
