Lucky O'Toole is a bright, attractive woman who works in Las Vegas as head of Customer Relations at the Babylon, a premier mega resort. One of her biggest attributes is her problem solving skill.

Lucky finds herself starting the day with an overturned tractor trailer right outside the front doors, with a load of honeybees on the loose. She has a huge problem to solve. Next on the list is a Clark County district attorney, found hiding in a laundry room naked. Lucky also stumbles across Las Vegas odds maker Numbers Neidermeyer having an argument with a private investigator, one of her dear friends.

The next day is no better. In fact, things start to escalate. Numbers is found in a shark tank in pieces, chewed up pieces. Lucky's friend Jeremy is the main suspect in her murder. To top things off, Lucky's boyfriend Teddie has to go away for a few days to Los Angeles to record music. But lo and behold, the tabloids show him and another music star kissing. This doesn't help Lucky's mood at all.

In the midst of all these happenings, the Babylon hires an eccentric French chef. And there's a mother who is a madam, auctioning a virgin to the highest bidder. This is all happening on the chaotic, crowded weekend of a big fight. Lucky needs to find out who made Numbers into fish food. She needs to clear her friend. Can Lucky stay out of danger and discover the murderer? Can she solve all the problems that face her without becoming unhinged?

Lucky is a character with whom you fall in love. She has personality traits that all woman wish they had - she's strong, competent, smart, with a sense of humor and a soft womanly side too. I thoroughly enjoyed this well written book, which has you wanting to go to Las Vegas to check it out yourself.
