Co-pilot Cole Langston would prefer to forget all about his recent hero status. However, in these dark and uncertain times, the media loves to focus on positive news stories like the fact that he'd safely landed a planeload of passengers in a raging snowstorm after the pilot suffered a heart attack.

Just when his life is starting to get back to normal, another heroic incident catapults him into the limelight all over again, after Cole comes to the rescue of airport cashier Olivia Robison. His altercation with an aggressive customer leaves him hospitalized yet determined to reconnect with the gentle beauty who cared for him while he was waiting for medical attention.

Olivia knows all about Cole's heroic past and, like most other women across the country, she's fallen a little in love with the handsome and personable co-pilot. Weeks later, when he drops by her kiosk to thank her for her help and ask her out for coffee, she can't believe that a man like him would be at all interested in her. Their tentative long distance relationship soon turns hot, heavy and very serious. Cole wants to make it permanent, but can Olivia allow herself to fall hard for a man who has a girlfriend in every port?

Force does a nice job showing the how's and why's of Olivia's various insecurities and how they hinder her from being able to trust in Cole, his love, and in her artistic talent. The issues that Force uses to test the couple's happy ending are unfortunately trite, as is the premise used to further Olivia's long-sought-after art career. Overall though, the author delivers two likeable players and another enjoyable romantic contemporary tale in Everyone Loves a Hero.
