T
he English seaside town of Blackpool, has a strong historical base and many secrets. Blackpool has a hidden underworld of tunnels. Some even say they are haunted by ghostly apparitions.
M
ichael and Molly Graham live in Blackpool but, as relative newcomers, are not always accepted by the townsfolk. The many generations of families look down upon outsiders. But Michael and Molly do make a few friends in the small seaside town. One is Dylan Stewart, a bike shop owner. Michael and Dylan share an interest in mountain biking.
I
t has been over a year since the last murder, that entangled Michael and Molly in amateur sleuthing. Now they once again find themselves trying to avoid becoming involved in murder, after the body of a Blackpool troublemaker Willie Myners is found on a boat. He was known to have in his possession sixteenth century gold coins, probably found within the tunnels.
D
ylan Stewart is arrested for the crime. Can Molly and Michael help their friend? Did he really kill Myners in a jealous rage? As the story twists and turns through the dark history of Blackpool, you can't help getting sucked in. Though I was not very impressed by the ending, I found this a good quick read, well written and to the point. It's also refreshing to read a book without vulgarity and explicit sex. Just a good plain old mystery.
