Vin Cooper, a special investigator for the U.S. Air Force, is reunited with his former lover, Special Agent Anna Masters, on a case that defies the imagination. Colonel Emmet Portman, the U.S. air attaché to Turkey, has been found dead in his Istanbul residence.

A close investigation of the grisly murder scene and the dismembered corpse turns up an interesting fact – twelve of the victim's bones are missing. When three of the missing bones are discovered at another equally macabre murder scene and the victim's name shows up in Colonel Portman's Rolodex, there's obviously a connection between the two crimes.

Now it is up to Cooper and Masters to figure out what is going on here and if these two deaths in some way will compromise the security of either the U.S. or Turkey.

Dealing with what begins to look like a major conspiracy involving some very important people, the two seasoned agents have their hands full as they try to short circuit a plot that will totally change the balance of power in the world. It's a delicate situation made even more interesting by the baggage Cooper and Masters bring along with them.

Hard Rain is a riveting read with enough skullduggery to keep even the most demanding reader satisfied. Two highly attractive central characters, some deliciously rotten villains, and plenty of clever surprises make this not only a very entertaining read but also one you'll want to recommend to friends.

Australian David Rollins is the new boy on the block in the world of military thrillers. His first two novels, The Death Trust and A Knife Edge, garnered plenty of attention and lots of warm praise. This third book proves that Rollins is certainly no flash-in-the-pan. The competition better take note - David Rollins is for real and he's getting better and better with each succeeding novel!
