is the latest in Alexander McCall Smith's highly popular
No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency
series. It's set in Botswana, where Mma Precious Ramotswe presides over the Agency with the able assistance of Mma Makutsi and her 97 per cent score at the secretarial school.

heir clients may be few and far between, but when they do come seeking help, their cases usually lead both ladies a merry chase.
A
local priest's wife is sure her husband is cheating on her. A nameless guide at one of the safari camps will come into an inheritance, if this person can be found. A local priest is sure his wife is cheating on him.
W
ith all of these people looking to the pair to solve their problems for them, Mma Makutsi's fiancé Phuti Radiphuti suffers an accident. He's taken to the hospital, where his aunt refuses to allow Mma Makutsi to visit him! Says she is all he needs to recover. She will take care of him.

his does not sit well. It takes all Precious's acumen to solve the dilemma.
The Double Comfort Safari Club
is another delightful tale of Botswana that includes this time a trip to the remote and striking Okavango Delta.
