S
imon Tofield's feline animations garnered 25 million fans on YouTube. Now in
Simon's Cat
, anyone who coexists with the species will recognize their own furred friends. I certainly saw mine on the front cover, doing what she does several times daily, that is making it very clear that her food bowl needs refilling.
B
lack and white cartoon sequences show Simon's cat in hilarious action, interacting with his owner, with birds and mice, squirrels, a garden gnome, and even a hedgehog. The cat crowds Simon to the edge of his bed, stalks him, pounces from all directions, and trips him up regularly. He outsmarts the dog and a fox. He tries to trick birds (with varying success) and they often gang up on him.
I
especially like the cartoon where the cat disdains the new climbing structure and dives into the box it came in instead. If you're a cat lover, hone your sense of humor on
Simon's Cat
in
his very own book
. It's tremendous fun.
