A year ago Sophie Blue's world was turned upside down when her scientist Dad disappeared. Her life hasn't been the same since. Her house keeps getting broken into and someone in a Popsicle truck with tinted windows is spying on her family. She began wearing black and calling herself Goth. 'As Goth as Road Kill,' she says. Some of the other kids call her Columbine.

At school she meets daily with Mr. Puglisi. He's a school counselor who is supposed to be helping her, but he spends more time trying to find out what she remembers about the day her dad went missing than helping her come to terms with her loss. Sophie is a flippant extrovert to the world, but inside she is scared – not that she'd ever share that with Mr. Puglisi.

Secondary characters include Kenny Fade, the school's God of Basket Ball; Lake a former cheerleader who is now in a wheelchair; and Sophie's brother O.S. - she'd throw herself in front of a truck to protect him. Fade to Blue is an action-filled mystery with plot twists that keep the reader twisting in the wind. Humorous and bizarre, this off-the-wall novel keeps you laughing and confused.
