Described by some as the Hardy boys grown up, James Lessor and Skip Moore have dead-end jobs and live in a ratty apartment in Carol City, Florida. They never stop dreaming of hitting the big time and now believe their chance has arrived. Skip lands a job to install a state-of-the-art security system for Synco Systems who are in the throes of producing materials for the government. The job comes with strings attached and with a huge commission promised if it is done quickly.

Is anything ever easy? Not with these two. Skip has additional duties to pretend to be the boyfriend of Synco System's president's girlfriend. He is to be the decoy for the president of Synco Systems' mistress Sarah. Then the president's wife offers Skip a bonus if he can prove that her husband and Sarah are more than just boss and secretary.

Confused? So are these two bumbling men who only hope to make it in life. Skip wants to marry his girlfriend. James just wants the world to continue spinning on its axis and provide him with Skip's company and endless bottles of beer.

Things get really complicated and this book provides plenty of humor along with good action. The two friends have been introduced to the reading public in Don Bruns' first two books in the series, Stuff Dreams Are Made Of and Stuff To Die For. These Hardy boys grow on the reader who only want the best for these two but also know that it will not be easy. But they do struggle on and never give up hope that their lives will turn around. Stuff to Spy For is good reading.
