nitially released in 2001, this riveting thriller is again back in print and it's no wonder given its brisk pacing and high octane action sequences.
K
nown simply as JJ, the protagonist in this novel is a very accomplished international contract killer. Fast, efficient and deadly, JJ is one of the best in the business. Unfortunately, he has just violated one of his hard and fast rules - never get emotionally involved when on an assignment.
A
fter a hit in a Moscow hotel, JJ makes the mistake of allowing a beautiful young woman to walk away from the scene. His client is not happy and suddenly the tables are turned. JJ has now become the prey rather than the predator and, more to the point, he'll need his considerable skills to preserve his own life.
A
brutal, globe spanning cat and mouse game now begins as JJ attempts to elude his pursuer while uncovering a conspiracy that is at the center of his current problems. The body count mounts quickly because a pro like JJ doesn't intend to go down without a fight. When it comes to creating mayhem, this guy is at the top of the class!
A
quick read, this would be the ideal diversion for killing some time at the airport or making a long flight go faster. You'll probably have it done by the time you reach your destination and you won't even mind the time you've spent in the terminal or sitting on the plane.
