aisy and her sisters have returned from Europe without their mom who stayed there to complete an investigation. The girls will have a busy summer though since they've all taken jobs. Rose is working at a research laboratory. Daisy gets a job at Slim's, their favorite restaurant. She finds out the reason she's never met Slim is because he is invisible. Poppy is recovering from losing her ghost boyfriend and working at a beach snack stand.

aisy's dad has been missing for some time. When she sees him at the doughnut shop stuffing himself with pastries, Daisy would like to believe he's back. If he is, he didn't look up his family up first thing. The town is being plagued with sugar craving doppelgangers and this dad may be a look-alike instead of the real thing. Gran Giordano, who is staying with her granddaughters, is excited that her son is back and encourages him to move back in.

his is the third novel in the
Dead
series. Daisy and her sisters live Nightshade, California, where anything can happen and usually does. This humorous series is just right for readers who want something light for summer vacation.
