is anxious to take on the case. The Triple Threat Club consists of Cassidy Shaw (a TV crime reporter), Nicole Hedge (an FBI special agent) and Allison Pierce (a Federal prosecutor).

rom Katie's blog, it appears that she may have been romantically involved with local Senator Fairview. It is up to Cassidy, Nicole and Allison to determine if Katie committed suicide or was murdered.
I
n addition to the case, each lady is dealing with their own personal issues. Allison apparently has a stalker sending her threatening messages. Nicole is doing her best to provide a secure and stable home for her daughter and Cassidy is denying the fact she is in an abusive relationship. Wll their own personal situations have an impact on Katie's case?

he plot contains a number of surprising twists and turns that keep the reader actively engaged throughout. Discussion questions are included.

atie's mysterious vanishing act dominates their professional lives, and the three women soon agree that a U.S. senator is their most likely suspect since he seems to have had a troublesome familiarity with the teenager. In spite of singular pressures from Katie's family, the investigation proceeds briskly; however, at the same time, each woman is also facing her own personal challenges: one keeps a shameful secret about an abusive lover, a second stoically raises her child while remaining aloof from any other close relationships, and the third finally looks forward to becoming a mother after years of disappointment.
